Bunbury Regional Hospital
The $471.5 million Bunbury Regional Hospital redevelopment is a major healthcare infrastructure project that will deliver expanded emergency, surgical, maternity, mental health, and specialist services for the South West region.
To support the delivery of this complex facility, ACURA Group worked closely with HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical Electrical, Plumbing, Fire, and Medical Gas contractors, providing support solutions and technical expertise to help keep critical building services coordinated, compliant, and efficiently installed.
A key challenge in the project involved completing seismic design requirements within the constraints of a post-tension (PT) slab, which impacted embedment depths required to meet IL4 specifications. Through close collaboration and regular coordination meetings with engineers and trade teams, ACURA developed tailored solutions for each service. These solutions not only met compliance requirements but also improved installation efficiency, helping reduce labour time while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
ACURA supplied a range of engineered support systems and products critical to the project’s success. This included modular framing and Zip-Clip wire suspension systems, alongside Snap fire collars, ISO clips, and consumables for plumbing works. Additional materials such as angle, threaded rod, and associated consumables were also provided to support HVAC installations, ensuring all services were properly secured and aligned with project specifications.
