Why Vibration Isolation Matters
Mechanical vibration is often overlooked during the design and installation of building services. However, even low-level vibration can travel significant distances through structural supports, pipework, and ducting, eventually manifesting as unwanted noise throughout a building.
Knocking, tapping, or creaking sounds are often early indicators of poor vibration isolation. Left unaddressed, vibration can lead to:
• Noise transfer between plant rooms and occupied areas
• Premature wear of mechanical equipment and components
• Loosening of fasteners, supports, and critical connections
• Increased risk of equipment performance issues and unplanned downtime
• Increased maintenance requirements and operational costs
• Reduced occupant comfort and satisfaction
Preventing vibration at its source is far more effective than attempting to rectify problems after installation. By incorporating ACURA Vibratrol, Seismic Mounts, or Neoprene Mounts into support and restraint systems from the outset, project teams can ensure minimised vibration transmission, maintain system integrity, and enhance long-term reliability.
Designed for Modern Building Services
ACURA's vibration isolation solutions are engineered to suit a wide range of building services applications, including:
• HVAC systems
• Chilled and heating water pipework
• Ductwork and air handling systems
• Mechanical plant and equipment supports
• Pumps, fans, and compressors
• Electrical and hydraulic services
Vibration Isolation Solutions for Every Application
No two installations have the same vibration control requirements. From suspended pipework and ducting to floor-mounted mechanical plant, selecting the appropriate isolation solution is essential for achieving optimal performance, acoustic comfort, and equipment protection. ACURA offers a range of solutions designed to meet the specific needs of different building services applications.
Spring Hanger Box Kits
1. Vibratrol D-Series
Designed for suspended low-frequency equipment operating above 1,200 RPM, the Vibratrol D-Series features a robust box construction and large-diameter spring for effective vibration isolation and stability. An integrated acoustic D-Cup prevents metal-to-metal contact, while the wide central opening accommodates minor installation angles. Suitable for use with threaded rod in single-point and trapeze suspension systems.
Common applications include fan coil units, attenuators, ducting, exhaust fans, packaged units, pipework, and other suspended services.
Key Features:
• Load capacity: 15kg to 175kg
• Colour-coded springs for easy load identification
Spring Hanger Box Kits
2. Vibratrol Compact Series
Key Features:
• Load capacity: 10kg to 60kg
• Colour-coded springs for easy load identification

3. Vibratrol Spring Isolator Kits
Seismic Mounts
4. Mason Seismic Mounts
Mason Seismic Mounts are light to medium‑duty, seismically rated spring mounts that comply with AS 1170.4. They are designed to provide effective vibration isolation and seismic restraint for equipment. With a low‑profile height of 130mm, these mounts are well suited to installations where available space is limited.
Key Features:
• Static deflection: 25mm
• Load capacity: 20kg to 1,136kg
Seismic Mounts
5. Embelton Seismic Mounts
CSM, CLM, and CWDM Embelton Seismic Mounts are designed for applications requiring a high degree of vibration isolation under normal operating conditions while also providing seismic restraint. Rated to meet the static force restraint requirements of AS 1170.4, they are suitable for a wide range of mechanical plant and equipment installations.
Key Features:
• Acoustically isolating rubber location cup
• Single, fully adjustable central vertical restraint and levelling bolt
• Alternative equipment mounting positions
• Static deflection: 25–50mm
• Load capacity: 10kg to 650kg
Neoprene Mounts
6. Neoprene Mounts
Neoprene Mounts provide effective isolation of noise and vibration generated by equipment operating above 1,000 RPM. Designed for non-seismic, compression-only applications, they offer a durable and economical solution for air conditioning and refrigeration condensers.
Key Features:
• Moulded in oil-resistant Neoprene
• Zinc-plated screws and washers are fitted
• Corrosion-free – metal parts embedded in Neoprene
• Non-skid base
